Derek Chauvin’s pageant wife files for divorce, says doesn’t want a penny in their divorce
Kellie Chauvin, wife of former Minneapolis cop Derek Chauvin filed a divorce insisting in a bombshell court that she doesn’t want a penny from her ex-husband who murdered George Floyd. She announced that they both parted ways on May 28 when he was accused of killing Floyd by kneeling on his neck. He and three other police officers killed him brutally during the nine-minute arrest.
According to the sources, former beauty queen wife filed her divorce petition before a local court, stating that she wants to separate from her husband of 10 years due to the "irretrievable breakdown" in their marriage.
Derek Chauvin, 44 was arrested last Friday over the murder and manslaughter in the death of George Floyd. Kellie has filed for divorce on the same day when he was detained.
Former Mrs. Minnesota America Pageant winner disclosed in a filing that she is fully capable to support herself. Kellie, a realtor, stating she is currently unemployed, the mom of two adult sons from another relationship said she did not want any financial assistance from Chauvin.
Chauvin, meanwhile, is currently under police custody and charged with third-degree murder. He was arrested on Friday, following four days of raging protests across Minnesota seeking justice for George Floyd.
