
Bollywood actor Sonu Sood has been receiving praise for his tireless efforts to help the most vulnerable in times of the COVID-19 crisis. The actor has not only helped migrants reach their homes safely, but has also provided his Mumbai hotel as accommodation for frontline workers.
Apart from this, the actor recently helped 177 migrant workers stuck in Kerala to reach their hometowns. After taking the necessary precautions and permissions, Sonu arranged aircrafts for the workers which flew them from Kochi to Bhubaneswar.
Sonu Sood has also sent over a thousand migrant workers to Uttar Pradesh and Bihar via the railways.
For his work, Sonu has received the admiration and support of his peers. Not too long ago, Shilpa Shetty shared a post in which she showered praise on the actor for his relentless hard work to reunite the migrants with their families. Sharing a picture of Sonu, she wrote, “Extremely proud of you, @sonu_sood Selfless efforts must be applauded #leadbyexample #gratitude #hero #help.”
Neha Dhupia appreciated Sonu Sood’s efforts and wrote, “another super hero who doesn’t wear a cape and to everyone’s Rescue!!!”
Appreciating Sonu Sood's efforts to help migrants head back home, Kubbra Sait tweeted, “So much love for the new age non mythical real flesh and blood super hero of our times. Through the adversities and lows there is @SonuSood who just makes you nod your head and smile. Ah! Bless you saab. It’s my honour to even say, ‘I know you.'”
When a Twitter user (@mdnadim92330920) tweeted requesting Sonu Sood to tell him a way to reach Bihar from Mumbai, the actor replied, "What will you do of a way? I will drop you home but just make sure you offer me a cup of tea if I ever come to Samasthipur."
A Twitter user @ActorManish2 tweeted a video of himself praying to God. He placed Sonu Sood's photo too and wrote, "People like Sonu Sood are equivalent to God. For me, Sonu Sood is a God who saved my dreams and made me meet my mother." Responding to the tweet, Sonu Sood wrote, "Please tell your mother to keep me in her prayers. Everything will be alright."
Dia Mirza tweeted, "Sonu you are a hero. Thank you for making the difference you are," to which Sonu Sood replied, "Thank you so much my favourite."

Sonu Sood sent 1000 migrant workers from Mumbai to Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. A Twitter user shared a video of the actor interacting with the people and bidding them goodbye.
