Cyclone Nisarga live updates: Mumbai airport to operate only 12 arrival flights today

Nisarga will make landfall as 'severe cyclonic storm' close to Alibag, 94 kms south of Mumbai on Wednesday afternoon with a wind speed of 100-110 kmh gusting to 120 kmh. IMD says it will affect the coastal districts of Maharashtra, including Mumbai, Gujarat and other neighbouring states. Stay with TOI for all updates.

Currently, the weather is quite conducive for flight operations. The latest aviation weather report for Mumbai airport shows a northeasterly wind with a speed of 14kmph, gusting at 30kmph. The forecast for the later hours of the day shows only a minor increase in wind speed.

Cyclone Nisarga moves northeastwards

Cyclone Nisarga is moving northeastwards with a speed of 12 kmph towards north Maharashtra coast. It is 140km south-southwest of Alibaug, 190 km south-southwest of Mumbai and 415km south-southwest of Surat at 7.30am.
