GNIDA to set up dashboard for daily updates as process goes contactless

Greater Noida: The Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) is in the process of setting up an open-access dashboard to share daily progress reports with the public.
As a result of the Covid-19-induced crisis, all the three industrial development authorities in Gautam Budh Nagar - New Okhla Industrial Development Authority, Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority and Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority - will gradually be shifting to contactless and paperless public delivery procedures. While YEIDA is still in a nascent stage, the other two authorities have already developed software and systems to manage requests of all kinds of allottees online.
Aware of the apprehensions regarding the new procedure among residents, the GNIDA has decided to put up the status of all the applications it receives on a dashboard.
GNIDA CEO Narendra Bhooshan said, “While the applicant would be given a unique password to monitor progress of his application and would get alerts at every level of disposal, the dashboard would also provide the consolidated day-to-day disposal rate and pendency among various departments. The idea is to create a healthy competition among officials. They would be inclined to bring down the pendency level too."
The software has been integrated to deal with requests, complaints and grievances routed to the authority through the Mitra mobile app, through its portal and Uttar Pradesh government’s jansunwai portal.
Sharing an example, an officer-involved with developing the dashboard said if an applicant submits the building plan map for approval, the module will forward the request to one of the seven divisions – residential, industrial, group housing, institutional, information technology, commercial or 6% Abadi.
Post that the application would be vetted broadly at three levels – executive, manager and management, before final approval is given. At every level, the applicant would be able to view the status and remarks. Queries would be sent via email. “In case the applicant is not satisfied with the outcome of his application, he would be given an option to escalate the matter to OSD or ACEOs,” added Bhooshan. The officer added that an estimated timeline would be issued at the time of applying.
