From bright-hued maxi dresses to party-ready numbers, the mother-of-two keeps her dress collection as versatile it can get
Mira Rajpur Kapoor’s girl-next-door sensibility has been growing on us ever since the news of her wedding with Shahid Kapoor came out in July 2015. Whether she is on vacation or attending family weddings, she know how to put her best sartorial foot forward. Depending on the nature of the occasion, her style oscillates between casual, chic and relaxed, but the one kind of clothing that has a reserved a permanent spot in her closet has to be the dress and its various iterations. While she has an affinity for sultry midi dresses for date night and parties, her everyday looks have her opting for airy cotton numbers. Scroll head to take a closer peek at her collection of dresses.
Date night or not, Mira Rajput Kapoor has mastered the art of dressing for the after-hours. There are plunging necklines, playful OTT sleeves, and flirty silhouettes among other interesting details that you’ll easily find in her sartorial picks. When it comes to going-out ensembles, slip dresses are a no brainer. The 25-year-old made headlines in a midnight blue silk satin dress with a draped cowl neckline and spaghetti straps as she was spotted grabbing dinner with a friend in Mumbai. Styled with silver bow pumps, the dress made for a winning pick. While she loves fail-safe dark hues, it is also necessary to shed light on her (hidden) penchant for experimentation. While on some days she goes for bold hues (remember the sleeveless yellow dress she wore for a dinner date in the city?), on others she likes to pull a 360 degree in a printed numbers just like the mini Zimmermann dress that came with tie-up shoulder straps and a cutout at the waist.
Rajput Kapoor’s always manages to look well put-together whenever she makes an appearance. Though she loves her shorts and crop top combos, the 25-year-old can’t get enough of breezy dresses during her time off. For her day picks, more often than not she is spotted relying on bright hues: for instance, take the orange maxi dress that she wore for a salon session in Mumbai. Whereas for a playdate with her daughter Misha, she took the pink route and flaunted her perfectly toned legs in a mini pink dress styled with a pair of delicate earrings and flats by Tory Burch.
