NOIDA: More than 100 residents of La Residentia, an apartment complex in Noida Extension, came down of their flats and piled up heaps of garbage bags in front of the management’s marketing office.
Residents claimed their garbage bags have not been picked up by the cleaning staff for the past four days as the builder has not paid the housekeeping employees of the society.
According to the records, the builder has not paid housekeeping salaries for February, March, April and May. “For the past three days, the housekeeping staff have been observing a silent protest as the builder has restricted payments. So, now they have stopped collecting the garbage. At a time when residents want the society to be clean and disinfected, the builder has stopped listening to our complaints,” said a resident of the society, Sumil Jalota.
However, after the garbage bags were dumped by the residents, the builder has promised to pay a part of the salaries to the housekeeping staff on Monday.
