SSC CHSL, CGL revised exam dates expected to be released today

NEW DELHI: The Staff Selection Commission of India (SSC) is expected to release an updated on the revised examination dates of various recruitment examinations which were postponed earlier due to nationwide lockdown announced by the Prime Minister Narender Modi to control the spread of deadly COVID-19 virus.
The SSC may also take decisions on the pending recruitment examination and application process for backlog vacancies of previous year. Among the various exams conducted by the SSC, Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGL) and Combined Higher Secondary Level Exam (CHSL) are the important ones. Every year, lakhs of candidates apply for these recruitment examinations.
SSC conducts CHSL examination for recruitment to the posts of Lower Divisional Clerk/ Junior Secretariat Assistant, Postal Assistant/ Sorting Assistant and Data Entry Operator. The educational qualification for SSC CHSL recruitment examination is 10+2 certification.
SSC CGL is an examination conducted to recruit staff to various posts in ministries, departments and organisations of the Government of India. Candidates who have Bachelor's Degree are eligible to apply for SSC CGL recruitment examinations.
The recruitment examinations for these posts are conducted in multiple phases. The candidates are selected in final phase have to appear for personal interview and documents verification rounds.
Currently, SSC CHSL 2018 examinations have been postponed. The registration process for SSC CHSL 2019 examinations have been completed. A total of 4893 candidates are to be recruited through this process. The SSC CHSL 2019 exams scheduled to be held from March 16 to 27, 2020, stands postponed. As per the exam calendar released by the Commission, the SSC CHSL 2020 notification is expected to be released by the month of November.
The SSC CGL 2018 phase 3 examination was postponed. The SSC CGL 2019 examination was scheduled to be held from March 11, which was postponed later due to coronavirus crisis. The notification for the SSC CGL 2020 examination is expected to be released by the month of September.
The examination for various other vacancies were also postponed due to current pandemic situation. The Commission will soon release update on these recruitment and the revised date of examinations. The candidates, who have applied or wish to apply for SSC recruitment examinations are advised to keep check the official website of the Commission to get the latest update on the same.
