Taking advantage of two month lockdown, burglars broke into her kitchen via window and decamp with Rs 7 lakh worth items.
The restaurant is owned by Hemlata, whose family also owns hotel in Agra and Udaipur. On Sunday afternoon, she gave a written complaint about his burglary.
Speaking to TOI, Hemlata said, “Six air conditioners, couple of outdoor, three gas cylinder, couple compressors of refrigerators, 120 garden chairs and computer along with utensils of kitchen used in making feast for guest too were taken away by burglars.”
“The burglars only targeted at our property while other neighbouring business assets remained untouched. There was a heavy police force posted at a nearby check-post to maintain lockdown but still our restaurant had a break-in by burglars. Since we have no CCTV, there is evidence as to who decamp with Rs 7 lakh worth items,” she added.
Kamlesh Kumar, SHO Sadar said, “The burglary occurred probably a week ago. We are investigating the matter.” A FIR in the matter was lodged today against an unknown person.
