
Wajid Khan of Bollywood music composer duo Sajid-Wajid passed away on Sunday in Mumbai. He was 42.
Wajid along with brother Sajid made their debut as music directors with Salman Khan’s Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya. They went on to compose music for several Salman movies like Hello Brother, Tumko Na Bhool Paayenge, Garv, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, Partner, God Tussi Great Ho, Wanted, Main Aurr Mrs Khanna, Veer and Dabangg (1, 2 and 3) among more.
Wajid Khan also crooned songs like Soni De Nakhre, Jalwa, Hud Hud Dabangg and Chinta Ta Ta Chita Chita.

Singer, music directors, actors and filmmakers took to social media to pay tribute to Wajid.
"Deeply saddened and shocked at the demise of Wajid Bhai. I have grown up watching him, attending music sessions with him and Dad, I started my career with him and he has been my mentor whenever it came to music. I still cant believe that he is no more between us," tweeted Jackky Bhagnani.
"Rest in peace Wajid bhai 🙏🏽 will never forget our Tevar music sittings together , full of life and extremely talented , you will be deeply missed ... condolences to the family 🙏🙏" wrote Sanjay Kapoor as he shared a photo of the late music composer on Instagram.
"My brother Wajid bhai left today .. We studied together in college right from F.Y.J.C. We struggled together to become something in our life. We have always been so close. Our parents were very close friends. .I just can’t believe he is gone. A guy with such a pure heart. How much time we have spent together. .It’s not a good day for me, I lost such a beautiful friend," wrote celebrity hairstylist Aalim Hakim on Instagram.

Music composer SS Thaman mourned the loss of Wajid Khan. In a tweet, he mentioned, "A lovely composer true musician. Very big loss for our musical fraternity #Gonetoosoon. May your soul rest in peace. Strength to the family"
Music composer Rochak Kohli told indianexpress.com, "I am deeply saddened and shocked. It is a great loss."
