Sources reveal that Motorola might launch a Whole New Razr with 5G, bigger battery and better camera.
In 2019, we saw a new re-envisioned version of the best-selling flip phone from the 2000s – The Motorola Razr. Apparently, Motorola is working to launch a sequel of the same which might launch this year as early as September with having 5G, a bigger battery and better camera.
According to a report by XDA Developers, the new Razr will be probably powered by Snapdragon 765 processor which is 5G capable, a bigger battery of 2,845 mAh up from the current 2,510 mAh, a rear camera of 48 megapixels replacing the current 16 megapixel and a front camera of 16 megapixels, up from 5 megapixels. It might also have an 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage, up from the current 6 GB RAM and 128 GB internal storage.
Motorola is owned by Lenovo and this information on the launch of Razr sequel was revealed a few days back by Lenovo’s South Africa’s General Manager Thibault Dousson in a podcast known as Tech Reframed. “There’s a new iteration [of the Razr] coming up. There’s one in September I think, coming up” he said.
The 2019’s Razr, when launched, was widely criticized for not having specs worthy of its whopping price $1500. Hence, all these improvements to the sequel are for good. But, what we have to wait and watch is that will Motorola also bring some changes in folding mechanism and the hardware?
