What Happens in Vegas (2008)

This romantic comedy, starring Cameron Diaz and Ashton Kutcher, proves that what happens in Vegas does not stay in Vegas. Two strangers, Joy and Jack, take a trip to the city after facing emotional distress in their personal lives. They meet by chance after they end up in the same hotel room because of a technical error. They party all night, only to wake up the next morning to realise that they got married to each other. Before they could get a divorce, Jack wins a jackpot at the slot machine. Joy claims that she is entitled to half of the money, as she is still his wife. A judge declares that the couple cannot get a divorce until they attempt to co-exist for six months. Their lives are never the same again.

But while the Hollywood rom-com explores what would happen if they fell in love with each other, the Bollywood counterpart focuses on their growing friendship and how it helps them get closer to their version of a perfect life.
