Why limit yourself to gold jewellery when you can show-off scene-stealing silver pieces too? Scouring the web will offer you a bevy of ideas, from jhumkas and maang tikka, to chokers and cuffs. No matter what you choose, adding a beautiful silver accessory will instantly elevate your kurta, sari or lehenga. If you’re looking for pointers, just turn to the celebrities who are effortlessly nailing silver jewellery.

If you’re ready to go all out, check out the Lara Morakhia set worn by Sonakshi Sinha with her Anamika Khanna outfit. It comes as no surprise that stop-and-stare silver jhumkas have been a long-time favourite with Indian wear. From Alia Bhatt to Anushka Sharma, Bollywood’s tastemakers have all let earrings assume centre stage on various occasions. During the promotional rounds of Kalank, Bhatt reached out for silver jhumkas by Curio Cottage with her white Manish Malhotra kurta set and a pair by Ritika Sachdeva with her black anarkali. Kiara Advani cinched her mehandi-appropriate Anushka Khanna co-ord set with silver earrings with dangling cowrie shells. For Vogue x Nykaa Fashion The Power List in December 2019, Anushka Sharma gave a nod to shoulder-dusters with her Anamika Khanna ensemble. More recently, Kriti Sanon chose Purab Paschim earrings and chunky bangles with her Shantanu & Nikhil lehenga.
During self-isolation, Priyanka Chopra delighted her fans with a snapshot of herself in a foliage-printed blue sari by clothing brand Koai. The 37-year-old posed for the camera as she showed off a thick stack of simple silver bangles. With her House of Ithr strappy kurta, Sonakshi Sinha relied on silver jhumkas and a statement cuff.
