Amitabh Bachchan: ‘Amar Akbar Anthony’ would beat ‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’ gross, inflation adjusted

Amitabh Bachchan, Rishi Kapoor and Vinod Khanna starrer iconic film 'Amar Akhbar Anthony' was released 43 years ago on this day. Big B, who played the character of Anthony in the movie, took to social media to reminisce about the film. Sharing the throwback pictures, the 77-year-old actor wrote ‘Amar Akbar Anthony’, which clocks 43 years, made Rs 7.25 crore when it released, a figure that crosses the collections of ‘Baahubali 2’ if adjusted for inflation’. For the unnerved, 'Baahubali 2' is one of the highest grossing films in India with a global business of over Rs 1,800 crore.
