ULHASNAGAR:
Ulhasnagar reported it's biggest one- day spike in the numbers of Covid-19 cases on Wednesday as 32 people tested positive in the city taking the total number to 246.
Out of 32 patients, 11 are residents of
Samrat Ashok Nagar slum area which is badly affected area in city. They includes seven men and four women patients.
Six people have tested positive in
Rajiv Gandhi Nagar situated in Ulhasnagar 1 number and also six patients from Ravindra Nagar area situated in Ulhasnagar- 5 number.
The Ulhasnagar till April 18 had zero Covid-19 cases as only one patient which was tested positive in March month was cured.
However in last over one month the city so far has witnessed 246 cases of Covid-19 that includes 9 deaths. Out of 246 total so far 108 got cured while remaining 141 are still taking treatment. Out of 141 patients taking treatment, 5 patients are in critical condition and has been kept on ventilators.
The maximum cases in Ulhasnagar are from slum pockets which is a cause of worry for civic administration.
