Andrea Bocelli has confirmed that he recently contracted Covid-19.
The Italian singer took to Facebook on Tuesday confirming the news in a heartfelt post.
"The pandemic which has shaken the world has also affected – albeit mildly – me and certain members of my family," he wrote.
"Out of respect for those for whom contracting the virus has had more serious consequences, I decided it would be best not to share the news. I certainly didn't want to unnecessarily alarm my fans and also wished to protect my family's privacy."
He added that he'd be donating blood to help find a vaccine or cure.
The singer previously opened up about his diagnosis just last week when he spoke to The Wall Street Journal. He has reportedly been staying with his family in Tuscany and described their symptoms.
"We had a fever, then we were cold, and then we got a little bit of a cough."
The classical singer has since made a full recovery, as per his Facebook post.
His last performance in April saw the Italian singer perform a solo Easter concert from an empty Milan Cathedral streamed live to millions of people around the world in coronavirus lockdown.

Andrea joins a long list of celebrities who've contracted and recovered from the virus.
Tom Hanks and his wife, Rita Wilson, were the first A-listers to announce their diagnosis and have since also donated blood in the hope of finding a vaccine.
The actor joked he hoped they'd name it the "Hank-ccine".
