New Delhi:
Nickel prices on Wednesday fell 0.92 per cent to Rs 920.40 per kg in futures trade after participants offloaded their positions amid weak demand in spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, nickel contracts for May delivery traded down by Rs 8.50, or 0.92 per cent, to Rs 920.40 per kg with a business turnover of 29 lots.
Analysts said subdued demand in spot market mainly led to fall in nickel prices.
Copper
Copper prices on Wednesday slipped by Rs 3.75 to Rs 411.80 per kg after investors cut down their positions amid muted demand in domestic market.
On Multi Commodity Exchange, copper for delivery in June eased by Rs 3.75, or 0.9 per cent, to Rs 411.80 per kg in a business turnover of 2,833 lots.
Analysts said trimming of positions by speculators due to muted demand in spot market led to the fall in copper prices here.
Zinc
Zinc prices on Wednesday fell 1.74 per cent to Rs 158.05 per kg in futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure taking negative cues from spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc for delivery in May declined by Rs 2.80 , or 1.74 per cent, to Rs 158.05 per kg in a business turnover of 1,513 lots.
Similarly, the metal for delivery in June was trading lower by Rs 2.20 , or 1.38 per cent, to Rs 156.85 per kg in 1,969 lots.
