Lotterywest tweeted that the Division One prize had been won on Tuesday night and reminded those who purchased a ticket to check their pockets.

The winning numbers were 22, 30, 24, 12, 5, 3, 27 with supplementary numbers of 39 and 28.

Spokesperson for Lotterywest, Pina Compagnone, said it was the first Oz Lotto major win for Western Australia this year.

'It's always an exciting moment when the state produces a big Lotto winner, especially a multimillion-dollar one,' Ms Compagnone said.

'It has added to our growing tally of Division One winners, which now sits at 28 and total prizes worth almost $36.5 million.'

People commenting on Lotterywest's Facebook page congratulated the winner, who may still be unaware they have become a millionaire.

'Oh that little shop has only come about recently! It's my local. Congrats!' one person said.

'Congratulations how wonderful for you, especially in this odd year, enjoy!!' another said.

'The one time I don't buy from there,' another said.

'Awesome when a West Aussie wins,' added a fourth.

The organisation has started the Lotterywest COVID-19 Relief Fund which directs profits from tickets sales to help the West Australian community recover.

The next prizes up for grabs are the Set for Life draw on Wednesday night with a jackpot of $20,000 a month for 20 years and a $15million Powerball draw on Thursday night.
