PM to speak at May 30 briefing

THE Prime Minister will speak at the Health Ministry's next virtual health news conference on Saturday (May 30).
Communications Minister Donna Cox made this announcement at the virtual health news conference on Wednesday.
Dr Rowley has been holding separate news conferences about covid19 at the Diplomatic Centre, with Health Minister Terrence Deyalsingh and Chief Medical Officer Dr Roshan Parasram.
Rowley, who announced a strategy for the phased reopening of the economy at a briefing on May 9, could discuss the possibility of moving to phase three of the strategy, which involves reopening of the public service and 75 per cent passenger capacity in public transport, maxi taxis and taxis.
At the virtual news conference on Monday, Cox reiterated that Education Minister Anthony Garcia would be coming soon to a briefing to talk about education matters related to covid19.
She recalled that National Security Minister Stuart Young, Finance Minister Colm Imbert, Attorney General Faris Al-Rawi, Social Development Minister Camille Robinson-Regis and Trade and Industry Minister Paula Gopee-Scoon were some of the other government ministers who have spoken at the briefings.
