Summer moong gift from farmers to Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan

In the Ministry, Agriculture Development and Farmers Welfare Minister Shri Kamal Patel presented moong on behalf of farmers of Harda and Hoshangabad region as a symbol to Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan today. This region has produced very good summer moong this year. Farmers and labourers have also got employment from various works. Farmers presented summer moong through Agriculture Minister Shri Patel to express gratitude to Chief Minister Shri Chouhan. Agriculture Minister Shri Patel informed that the production of moong has been 1 lakh 76 thousand 142 hectares in total, including 74 thousand 142 hectares in Harda district and 1 lakh 2000 hectare in Hoshangabad district. The average yield per hectare of summer moong in this zone has been 10 to 12 quintals, which is an achievement. Health Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra, Water Resources Minister Shri Tulsi Silavat, Food and Cooperation Minister Shri Govind Singh Rajput and Tribal Welfare Minister Ms. Meena Singh were present on the occasion.
