Pakistan is new building center of swarms: Rajasthan Agriculture Dept on locust attacks

Deputy Director of Agriculture Department in Rajasthan, BR Karwa, on May 26 called Pakistan the “new building center” of swarm. While speaking on locusts attack in Rajasthan, Karwa, said, “Swarm of locusts are entering Rajasthan from adjoining areas in Pakistan, every 2-3 days since a month. 4 swarms entered Jaipur till now. Pakistan is the new building center of swarm that’s why they are attacking in Rajasthan time and again, Fortunately, Rabi crop has been harvested and Kharif sowing season is yet to arrive. This is also the reason for its fast movement as they are not getting vegetation to eat. Both central and Rajasthan government is working hard to control swarms.”
