Ayurvedic herbal portion has been provided to 1,64,683 people in Jamnagar so far.RAJKOT: The Ayurvedic department of Jamnagar district administration has distributed Ayurvedic herbal portion among 1,64,683 people since the beginning of the coronavirus-induced lockdown period so far.
“We have also distributed Sansham Vati medicines among 2,934 people and provided other medicines to 5,138 people in the district. As part of an awareness drive, we have provided medical counselling to 28,117 people in the district,” said an official from the Jamnagar Ayurvedic department.
A total of 1,809 patients under home quarantine or at government quarantine centres have been provided Ayurvedic and homeopathic medicines.
“According to the guidelines of Ayush Mantralaya, arsenic album 30 potency medicine has been provided to 49,001 people. The Ayurvedic department has so far provided 500kg ingredients for making herbal portion to Jamnagar Municipal Corporation,” added the official.
Meanwhile, the medical officers of Dhrol Municipality, Motaitala and Sumara carried out door-to-door distribution of Ayurvedic herbal portion provided by the Jamnagar Ayurvedic department in 8,000 houses in Dhrol.
In a joint distribution drive held by APMC market yard Hapa-Jamnagar and Motaitala government Ayurvedic hospital, 6,801 people were provided with Ayurvedic herbal portion. The entire programme was sponsored by APMC Jamnagar.
The Jamnagar Ayurvedic department distributed 10,000 leaflets informing people about Ayurvedic home remedies in Dhrol taluka.
