Press questions
He is asked about the balance of risk of coronavirus and health of nation from lockdown.
Mr Gething said it is not simple, but they are considering all issues as they move forward. This week they will make another set of choices.
He said the cautious approach is still the right one, with people following and supporting the rules in Wales.
Press conference begins
The press conference is now underway and health minister Vaughan Gething is speaking.
He is talking about the work being done to understand why people from BAME groups appear more severely impacted by coronavirus.
He said many health and social care workers are from BAME communities, but said they don’t yet fully know why.
People in BAME backgrounds are more likely to have certain underlying health issues which could impact them more, he said.
He said advisory group has been looking at the issues, including in the workforce and wider socioeconomic factors that could be impacting on BAME groups.
Initial findings will be coming out at the end of the month.
Risk assessment tool is being introduced today.
In the first instance, people will consider each identified risk factors and complete self-assessment. They will have conversation with line manager to ensure they are protected as far as possible.
This could include looking at a change in role or stay at home on temporary leave. This tool will be available across health and social care in Wales.
On testing, he said in first four days of new online booking system, more than 600 tests were completed in this route.
They are looking at bringing testing centres in Wales onto online booking system. He expects online bookings to be available at the end of this week.
He said there are some reports of critical workers being referred as far away as Devon. He said this is not acceptable and that testing for critical workers is available in Wales.
He said they are making good progress with contact tracing trials.
