Redmi is all set to launch a slew of devices in its home country, China, later today. The event is set to see the company announce a new phone in the Redmi 10X and also take the lid off new RedmiBook laptops. And ahead of the launch, the latter has now been teased by the company revealing some key specs about the device.
Of the laptops being launched today, the flagship is expected to be the RedmiBook 16 -- a Ryzen 4000 series CPU powered laptop with a 16-inch display and high screen-to body ratio. Redmi has shared new renders of the device through its Weibo account, and they reveal some interesting information about the device.
The images show the Redmi 16 could bring two USB Type-A ports and two Type-C ports. There's also an HDMI port and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. The laptop appears to have gotten downward-firing speakers and a large trackpad with integrated mouse buttons. There's also a fingerprint scanner integrated within the power button.
Previously, the company had revealed that the RedmiBook will bring a 16.1-inches display in a 15-inch body. The RedmiBook will also feature a high 90% screen-to-body ratio. Furthermore, the company has claimed in its post on Weibo that the display will provide 100% sRGB wide color gamut.
We also know that the RedmiBook 16 will be powered by the new AMD Ryzen 4000 series processors for powerful performance. These processors are said to be the R5 4500U and R7 4700U processors. The laptop is also said to come with the Radeon RX Vega Graphics Card. For memory, there will be 16GB of memory and 512GB SSD on the standard variant.
Apart from this, Xiaomi also has revealed that the laptop will be equipped with a 65W mini power adapter as standard. The charger could use the laptop's Type-C port to provide fast charging support. Additionally the laptop is also said to feature a smart sensor key which will help it be unlocked using the Mi Band in just 1.2 seconds.
