
Bihar Board BSEB 10th Result 2020 LIVE Updates: The Bihar School Education Board (BSEB), Patna declared the class 10 or matric exam result today. Over 15.29 lakh students who had appeared for the Bihar Board exam were awaiting the results. The evaluation process was halted due to the lockdown induced due to coronavirus. The wait will, however, be over today.

Students can check their result at the official website, biharboardonline.bihar.gov.in. Due to the number of students, a heavy load is expected on the official website. If candidates face problem, they can also check result at the alternative addresses – onlinebseb.in, bsebresult.online, bsebonline.org, and biharboard.online.
With this, BSEB will become the first board to release both class 10 and class 12 results during the lockdown. Bihar Board had released class 12 or intermediate result in March in which 80.44 per cent of students cleared the exam. Currently, the scrutiny process is on for the class 12 exams. Meanwhile, last year for class 10 results, the pass percentage was at 80.73 per cent.

The Bihar board will declare the results of Class 10 examination at 12:30 pm. The students can check the results through the websites biharboard.ac.in, bsebssresult.com and biharboardonline.bihar.gov.in
The toppers will be given a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh each, along with a laptop and a kindle e-reader. The second and third topper will get a cash prize of Rs 75,000 and Rs 50,000 each and the fourth and fifth rank holder from each stream will get Rs 15,000 and a laptop each.

This year, Bihar Board had made significant changes to the exam pattern which included introduction of 50 per cent objective questions. For objective questions, students were provided with a separate OMR sheet. The board had also introduced coded answer sheets this year to avoid any malpractice during the evaluation process
Last year, the result link was not activated till 24 hours of the declaration of the result and the board had hence faced criticism. This year, BSEB had informed to have used tech-based initiatives to declare results on time.

The state board has also shown significant improvement in the pass percentage from 50 per cent in 2017 to 80.44 per cent in intermediate or class 12 results this year, and 80.73 per cent in matriculation exam last year
The most recent announcement for the board is of the upcoming academic year of 2021 in which, instead of two 50-mark language papers, one 100-marks exam will be held. The number of additional subjects has also increased
For the current year, the BSEB had made as many as 50 per cent of questions into objective-type while the rest remained subjective. For subjects like physics, chemistry, biology, etc, for which the theory exam is of 70 marks, around 35 marks will be awarded to MCQ questions

The state board claims to have deployed a new software which increases the speed of processing result by 16 per cent. This was a new introduction to this year’s results
After the infamous incident of 2016, when the BSEB topper did not know answers to basic questions, the board has started verifying the answer scripts of top-scoring students. For the current year, due to the pandemic, the verification is being conducted through WhatsApp-based video conferencing
To pass the exam, students need to obtain 33 per cent marks in each subject, as well as overall. For those who fail to clear a subject, improvement exams are held, however, the statement of improvement or supplementary exams is not clear this year

Students will have to save the result details and preferably take a print out or screenshot if possible for future references. It can act as provisional mark sheets until the final mark sheets are released by the board.
In case a student fails in one subject only by not more than 8 per cent marks or in two subjects by not more than 4 per cent marks in each, he/she will be given the marks he/she is short of. If someone has obtained 75 per cent marks in aggregate but has failed in one subject only by not more then 10 per cent marks and cannot be allowed to pass under any other regulation, will be declared to have passed
The state government has decided to felicitate 10 toppers of Class 10 and 12. Matric toppers will get Rs 1,200 per month for two years to pursue higher secondary education. The students will have to score at least 60 per cent marks in Class 11 to be eligible for the scholarship in Class 12
A total of 12,04,834 students appeared in the intermediate examination in this year out of which 6,56,301 boys and 5,48,533 were girls. Furthermore, a total of 4,43,284 students have passed in the first class, 4,69,439 students in the second class and 56,115 students in the third class
