In boost to Chardham road project in Uttarakhand, Border Roads Organization teams linked up from North and South portals achieving breakthrough on the 440m tunnel below Chamba. Lt General Harpal Singh said using Austrian technology tunnel to be completed in Oct 2020. On the total budget he said, “The char dham project is of 12 thousand crore. Border Roads has got the share of 250kilo meter. 107 crore were sanctioned but we are completing it within 86 crore.” '
