SHIMLA:
Himachal Pradesh reported 10 positive cases of Covid-19, including eight from Hamirpur, one from Shimla and one from Una districts, on Tuesday and all of them had travel history of Maharashtra and Delhi. With this, now the state has reported a total 233 persons tested positive so far of which 161 are active while 63 have recovered, four have migrated out of state and five have died.
With fresh detection of positive cases now Hamirpur district has total 71 positive cases of which 64 are active, Shimla district has total seven positive cases of which five are active and Una district has total 31 cases of which 14 are active.
In Hamirpur district all eight persons who have tested positive had returned from Maharashtra and have been in institutional quarantine. The persons who tested positive in Shimla district had also returned from Maharashtra while the person who tested positive in Una district had returned from Delhi and they were also in institutional quarantine.
In the state total 38,265 persons were put under surveillance till Tuesday, of them 12,843 have completed 28 days of surveillance while 25,422 are under active surveillance. So far, 29,279 persons have tested for coronavirus of which 28,523 have tested negative while 233 have tested positive and results of 523 samples are awaited.
