India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a ‘red alert’ for an intense heatwave in North India. According to IMD, the heatwave will also impact parts of Maharashtra and Telangana this week. According to IMD, the day temperature in Delhi is likely to hit 46-degree Celsius by May 26. On May 23, Delhi recorded 45.4 degrees Celsius temperature.
