Thane: Woman delivers in wee hours on Mumbra street

THANE: A pregnant woman delivered a boy on a street in Mumbra while on the way to a government hospital around 1.30am on Saturday. Dr Imran Khan, owner of a nearby nursing home, stabilised the woman and baby on the street.
An NCP politician said she had been told to get tested for Covid-19, but the family was indecisive as it was poor. The woman is said to have undergone her previous three deliveries at home.
