Tamil Nadu on Monday recorded seven deaths due to COVID-19, taking the toll to 118 while 805 fresh cases saw the state's total infections touching 17,082, the Health department said.

Chennai remained the worst hit, accounting for 549 more cases.
A total of 407 people were discharged with the number eclipsing the day's new cases as the cumulative recoveries rose to 8,731, it said.
This was the six consecutive day when the state recorded over 700 cases.
