Coronavirus Pune: Capgemini provides support to 75,000 individuals in city

In Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad area, Capgemini has provided essential medical supplies to the government hospital to contain the spread of COVID-19. These include PPE kits, thermometers, face shields, hand sanitisers and more.

Pune: Capgemini has affirmed its commitment to the fight against COVID-19, by detailing a series of initiatives being undertaken in the city of Pune with helping over 75,000 iindividuals. Capgemini employees have rapidly mobilised the supply of essential medical equipment and necessities to address local authorities' needs. The company is also helping affected communities in the Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad area.

As part of its relief measures in Pune, Capgemini has extended support by providing safety equipment and materials to Pune District Collector, Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), Police Commissioner of Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad, SDO – Mulshi Paud, Police Stations at Hinjawadi and Dehu Road. It is also helping affected families through NGO partners Akshay Patra and SSRVM Trust.

In Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad area, Capgemini has provided essential medical supplies to the government hospital to contain the spread of COVID-19. These include PPE kits, thermometers, face shields, hand sanitisers and more.

Additionally, Capgemini is providing support to affected families from the underprivileged community and daily wage earners along with its NGO partners. In association with Akshay Patra Foundation, Capgemini has provided a cooked meal twice a day to 26,000 individuals. Furthermore, in association with SSRVM Trust, Capgemini has provided dry ration to 7,684 individuals, cooked meals to 40,000 individuals and dry ration to PCMC (1,400 individuals), police stations and Pune administration.

Apart from the relief measures in Pune, Capgemini has been engaging with communities and NGO partners across India to ease the impact of COVID-19. The IT company has provided essential services to nearly 800,000 individuals of underprivileged community across 15 locations in India, stated the company.
