The fourth phase of the lockdown announced due to the Coronavirus in the country will expire on 31 May. The Central Government has not yet taken any decision about extending the date of a lockdown or terminating it.

Following the increasing number of corona-infected people in the country and the advice of the World Health Organization, it seems that the government will continue the lockdown beyond May 31. The number of corona infected people in the country has crossed 1 lakh 35 thousand. The World Health Organization has also expressed concern over the increasing cases of coronavirus in India. That is why it has advised not to exempt lockdown in seven states of the country.

The World Health Organization has issued a warning about the country's Maharashtra, Gujarat, Delhi, Telangana, Chandigarh, Tamil Nadu, and Bihar. The WHO has stated the need to continue the lockdown ban because of the increasing number of corona patients in these seven states of the country.
