An eagle-eyed shopper has noticed a bottle of her washing detergent had secretly shrunk in size but remained the same price, sparking outrage among customers.
The Australian woman claimed she purchased the 'new' 1.8 litre bottle of FAB Gold Absolute Laundry Liquid for $8 - the same price she paid for the old two-litre product.
She shared the snap in a social media group showing how the product has dwindled in size after getting a new packaging design, with many claiming the 1.8L bottle 'looks to be bigger' than the previous version.
'They reshape the bottle to make the new one look bigger,' one said, while another described the new product as a 'clever shape illusion'.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted FAB for comment.
Many said they noticed the difference in size at the supermarket in recent days while one woman admitted 'I never noticed and I have both next to the washing machine'.
While others pointed out: 'Interesting the old bottle has the word "new" on it.'
Meanwhile, many claimed other manufacturers have been shrinking its products for years in a 'sneaky' tactic to cut down on costs without dropping the prices.
'Whenever a product changes the packaging design this is a pretty good indication that they have shrunk the product at the same time,' one said.
Another said: 'Unfortunately companies do it all the time; they change the packaging and use optical illusions to make it appear like the packaging holds the same amount or more product.'

One said: 'Happens every time there is a packaging change, so sneaky... so many don't realise', while another added: 'Such a common trick manufacturers pull on their consumers.'
And it's not just laundry detergent that's shrinking in size.
Many consumers revealed many grocery essentials have been reduced in size but most stayed the same price.
'Sadly they have been doing this for years. Chocolate is the worst,' one said, while another added: 'They've done this with dry kitten food 500g to 400g and dry cat food 2kg to 1.8kg and no change in price.'
