Gurgaon: Nine people tested positive for
Covid-19 in the city on Sunday, taking the district’s case count to 270. Of these, 105 are active cases while 165 people have been discharged after recovery.
The new cases include two residents of Rajendra Park and one each from
Nayi Basti,
Pataudi,
Krishna Colony,
Sector 10,
Rajeev Nagar,
Jharsa and Sector 22. They had all come in contact with Covid patients,” said a health department official.
So far, 17,673 people have been put under surveillance in the district, out of which 14,664 have completed their 28-day quarantine period. The health department has sent 11,823
samples for testing.
Meanwhile, four more cases were reported in Faridabad, taking the district’s tally to 209. These include a 56-year-old woman, a resident of Panchkula, who had returned from London. “She was put up in a hotel earlier and has been shifted to ESIC hospital now. We are keeping foreign returnees in Gurgaon and
Faridabad in 14 days’ quarantine before they can return home,” said Yashpal Yadav, deputy commissioner, Faridabad.
Other cases include a 15-year-old girl, a resident from Bhagat Singh Colony, Ballabgarh, who had no history of contact or travel. Another patient is a 35-year-old man, a resident of Autopin jhuggi in Sanjay Colony, who came in contact with a patient.
The last case is a 55-year-old man, a resident of Chawla Colony, also a contact of a Covid-positive person.
