Coronavirus cases in India are increasing steadily. Meanwhile, the Central Government has identified Jaipur, Indore, Chennai, and Bangalore as role models to control the COVID-19 epidemic. In the last few days, the Center has held meetings with various municipal bodies. It discussed the management of COVID-19 - effective practice of handling positive cases and reducing mortality.


The government has identified Indore and Jaipur as the cities controlling the coronavirus cases, while major cities such as Chennai and Bangalore have been identified as reducing mortality.

Apart from this, the death rate in Bangalore and Chennai is only one percent while the average rate of the country is three percent. A senior official said that these two southern cities set an example regarding the treatment of COVID-19 patients. The strategy adopted by the Brihanmumbai Municipality has also been appreciated in the recent meeting.
