Justice KS Hegde Charitable Hospital of Nitte (deemed-to-be university) at Deralakatte in Mangaluru taluk has started the Covid-19 RT-PCR testing facility. A press statement said that this facility is NABL-accredited and notified by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). Experts have undergone special training at NIMHANS (a mentor institute for Covid testing in Karnataka) in Bengaluru.
Amit Kelgi from the Department of Microbiology of the hospital has been appointed the nodal officer of the testing facility. Tests will be done at affordable cost as per government guidelines and test results will be reported on the same day, it said.
