No missing the boat for this Gold Coast driver

A car has veered onto the wrong side of a Gold Coast road and crashed into a parked boat trailer, resulting in the vessel ending up on the car's roof.

Paramedics assessed the driver of the car on Townson Avenue just before 11am on Monday.

He was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital after suffering a medical episode.

As a result of the crash, the road was blocked for 40 minutes and Energex was called to check powerlines and a power pole.

Police are treating the incident as an accident.
