Bengaluru: Flight to Delhi will cost Rs 4,500-Rs 13,000

BENGALURU: Fares of flights between Bengaluru and Delhi will be in the range of Rs 4,500 to Rs 13,000 once operations resume on May 25, according to the rates published by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) on Thursday.
The civil aviation ministry has divided routes into seven sectors based on the duration of the journey as it looks to restart passenger flights with new safety measures after a gap of two months.
Other destinations which fall in the same fare bracket as Bengaluru-Delhi are: Amritsar, Jaipur, Patna, Lucknow and Ranchi. Fares are in the highest upper range — between Rs 5,500 and Rs 15,700 — for air travel between Bengaluru and Agartala, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Guwahati, Im phal and Varanasi.
For flights from Ben galuru to Ahmedabad Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, In dore and Raipur, the fares will be between Rs 3,500 and Rs 10,000. From Ben galuru to Kolkata, Mum bai, Nagpur, Port Blair Pune and Vizag, the rates will be between Rs 3000 and Rs 9,000.
Passenger flights oper ated between Bengaluru and Calicut, Thiruvanan thapuram, Coimbatore Goa and Hyderabad wil cost between Rs 2,500 and Rs 7,500.
The Bengaluru-Chen nai, Bengaluru-Koch and Bengaluru-Mangal uru sectors have been priced in the range of Rs 2,000-Rs 6,000.
On each flight, 40 per cent of the bookings should be below the mid-point of the sector fare range, the civil on ministry said.
