It has only been a few days since the launch of the Vivo V19 in India, yet new reports claim the company could be looking to follow it up with the launch of a new Vivo smartphone in India as early as next month.

As per a report by 91Mobiles, Vivo is likely to launch its next smartphone, the Vivo Y30 in India in the first week of June. Launched after the V19 in India -- a phone with impressive cameras and design for a starting price of Rs 27,999 -- the Y30 will be part of the Y-series of smartphones launched earlier by Vivo in Malaysia.

For now, not much is known about the device, with no clear indication of its pricing. While the exact pricing details are still unknown, the Y30 is expected to be an affordable smartphone from Vivo. Reports suggest the Vivo Y30 could be similarly priced to the version of the phone launched in Malaysia. In the country, it was announced for MYR 899 (approx Rs. 16,000).

Vivo Y30: Specifications

As far as specifications go, we know little about this device from Vivo. Except for the suggestion that it could sport similar specs to the device already available in the Malaysian market.

In Malaysia, the Vivo Y30 features a 6.47-inch display with the highest resolution of 720x1560 pixels. The display is a 19.5:9 aspect ratio panel complete with a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera. Under the hood, there's a MediaTek Helio P35 SoC -- a chipset we have also seen used by Motorola in India recently.

For cameras, the Vivo Y30 brings a quad-camera setup at the back. Of the four cameras, the primary is a 13-megapixel sensor with an f/2.2 aperture. It is paired to an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2-megapixel depth shooter, and another 8-megapixel lens. At the front, the phone also gets another 8-megapixel shooter for clicking selfies. It is powered by a 5,000mAh battery and weighs 197g. It has support for dual 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5, Wi-Fi, GPS, and FM Radio. The Vivo Y30 also packs a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.
