Kerala Technical University: B.Tech final sem exams from July 1

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala Technological University (KTU) has announced its decision to conduct 8th semester B.Tech exams from July 1. "The S7 honours and MBA T5 exams will be conducted on June 26. Students who have moved out to their hometowns during the lockdown can write the exams, except for MBA T5 exams, at centres nearest to them," said a university statement.


The exam duration has been reduced to two hours and fifteen minutes from the usual three hours. The total marks will be reduced to 70. The forenoon exams will begin at 10.15am but students are requested to report at 9.30am. For the afternoon exams which begins at 2.15pm, the reporting time is 1.30pm. "All safety precautions regarding Covid-19 will be ensured during the exams," the statement said. Students unable to attend the S8 exams due to genuine reasons will be given another chance in October.

The semester 8 honours exams will be held on June 29. The university has also decided to conduct the revaluation of B.Tech semester 7 supplementary exams on May 27, 28, and 29.
