Coronavirus India News LIVE Updates: Indore COVID-19 tally zooms to 2,850 with 76 new cases; 109 die

Live updates of the novel coronavirus pandemic and its socio-economic impact. Total confirmed cases in India have risen to 1,18,447.

Today is the fifty-ninth day of India’s nationwide lockdown, meant to curb the novel coronavirus pandemic. Confirmed COVID-19 cases in India stand at 1,18,447. The death toll from the outbreak in India is at 3,583. Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat and Delhi have reported the highest number of cases.

Globally, there have been over 51 lakh confirmed cases of COVID-19. At least 3.32 lakh people have died so far. The United States, Russia, Brazil, the United Kingdom and Spain are the most-affected countries. Catch the latest updates here:

The number of coronavirus cases now stands at 1,18,447 in the country. There has been an increase of 148 deaths and 6,088 cases since Thursday 8 am, according to the Health Ministry.     Jharkhand, Chandigarh and Himachal Pradesh each have recorded three COVID-19 fatalities each, while Meghalaya and Uttarakhand have reported one fatality each, according to the health ministry data.
