Flyers from IGI will need passes to enter Gurgaon

Gurgaon: Since domestic flights will resume operations from May 25, those travelling from the Delhi airport to Gurgaon would also need a pass to enter the Haryana city. Officials said that for the passes to be issued, they needed to have prior intimation on the number of people landing at IGI.
“No specific guideline has been issued in this regard. So, we will treat them as people coming from outside in their own vehicles, buses or trains. They will need to take special permission and secure a pass. Flight tickets won’t be enough for entering Gurgaon. We need to be aware of the number of people coming from outside,” said VS Kundu, additional chief secretary and GMDA chief.
However, those travelling to the Delhi airport from Gurgaon won’t need a pass between 7am and 7pm. For getting a pass, residents have to apply on the Saral Haryana portal. After entering the city, they will have to undergo 14 days of quarantine period.
After the Centre announced that domestic flights would resume operations from May 25, Gurgaon residents working in other states have been asking the district administration on social media whether they would be allowed entry or not.
