Parents have been warned about a Snapchat group called 'R Kelly's Under 18's Club' whose members are allegedly trying to arrange meetings with children after lockdown.
An email sent yesterday by Catrin Foulkes, head of Ysgol Maes Owen Primary School in Kinmel Bay, urges families to be on their guard.
She tells parents that police and the council have been informed about the group, believed to be targeting children on the social media platform.
It is understood to reference to disgraced singer R Kelly who is currently in prison awaiting trial on charges of alleged child sex abuse.
The email from Ms Foulkes which has been seen by North Wales Live, states: "Not a very pleasant email I'm afraid, but extremely important.

"I have been made aware that there is a large UK wide Snapchat group to which young people are invited.
"The group are involved in Childhood Sexual Exploitation (CSE).
"It is called R Kelly's Under 18's Club and there are plans for a meet up in Manchester once lockdown is over."
She adds: "Although primary school age children shouldn't have a Snapchat account, I'd suggest that you check it as a precaution.
"North Wales Police and Social Care are aware of it and appropriate advice is being given to those known to be involved."
Conwy Council, North Wales Police and Snapchat have been asked to comment.
