PROJECT RESTART "POSITIVE" ABOUT TEST RESULTS

The fact that there were only 6 positive Covid-19 test results out of 748 tests among EPL players and staff has been viewed as a major hurdle overcome in the Premier League's plans to restart the season. Ironically 3 of the 6 positive tests came from Watford, whose manager Nigel Pearson and club captain Troy Deeney have been vociferous in their opposition to the resumption of play.

MYTWOCENTS VERDICT: The odds of the campaign restarting sometime in June have improved following these results and the relatively successful return of the Bundesliga over the weekend. Can't help but think that the French league may have jumped the gun by ending their season early a few weeks ago.

ARMSTRONG DROPS THE BALL

Disgraced Lance Armstrong admitted in a recent interview for an upcoming ESPN documentary that his doping from a young age may have contributed to him getting testicular cancer.

"The only time in my life that I ever did growth hormone was the 1996 season. And so just in my head, I'm like, growth ... growing hormones and cells, like ... if anything good needs to be grown, it does. But wouldn't it also make sense that if anything bad is there, that it too would grow?"

MYTWOCENTS VERDICT: ESPN is pulling out all the stops during the lockdown. Michael Jordan's "The Last Dance" has been an overwhelming success and will be a tough act to follow. Armstrong's "Lance" is next up to the plate ... just not convinced that there will be anything new there.

FORMER BULLS TEAM-MATE NOT COMING TO THE DANCE

One person who is no fan of "The Last Dance" is Michael Jordan's former team-mate Horace Grant. Grant has come out swinging in his opinion of the documentary: “I would say [it was] entertaining, but we know, who was there as team-mates, that about 90% of it - I don’t know if I can say it on air, but B.S. in terms of the realness of it.”

Grant was especially unhappy with some of MJ's bullying of team-mates, “it wasn’t real - because a lot of things [Jordan] said to some of his team-mates, that his team-mates went back at him. But all of that was kind of edited out of the documentary if you want to call it a documentary.”

MYTWOCENTS VERDICT: There are always differing versions of events in a locker room, depending on which side of the fence you are on. MJ was like a Roy Keane at Manchester United - pushing players to their limits in order to achieve success.
