Covid-19: Gurugram administration adds 12 more containment zones

GURUGRAM: With the increase in number of Covid-19 cases, the district administration on Wednesday added 12 more containment zones in Gurugram, increasing the number of containment zones from 37 to 45 in the district. Sohna block, which had three containment zones earlier, has been made containment free.
As per recommendation of the containment review committee, Tyagiwara from Gurugram block and Shiv Kund, Bhagat Wada and Thakur Wada of Sohna block is de-notified,” read the revised containment zone orders.

The new areas added to the list include New Palam Vihar, Block-D, Rishi Raj Rana House wali Gali, Block K-1 Gali no. 1, New Palam Vihar Block-D till end; Techrocrest apartment, Double Tree Hilton hotel, Vigyan Vihar, CSC Homes; Venkateshwar School, Harmony Home Society, Aloha and Aligents Society, Hongkong Bazar; Hari Nagar, Gali no. 4 Gemini School, HSM School, Gali no. 5 Khandsa road and Gali no. 6 N block, Mohan Nagar, Nayagaon are among the new areas added to the containment list.
While the state government has allowed the government offices to function, it has specified in the order that those employees living in the containment zones cannot go to work. “In case an employee’s place of residence happens to lie within a containment zone, such employee shall not leave the containment zone until the zone declaration order has been withdrawn by the appropriate authority,” read the guidelines issued by the state.
