Amid prevalent chaos and uncertainty over access to the essential services and commodities during the lockdown, we bring you the latest updates from your city.
* Day one of ‘oddeven’ plan in Hyderabad did not go as planned. While GHMC could not mark the shops in half of the city, lack of enforcement by the authorities put paid to the hopes of implementation of the new norm. Shops adjacent to each other remained open while social distancing also went for a toss.
* Over 58 days after being under lock and key, the shutters finally went up on commercial establishments in Hyderabad on Tuesday, even as many continued to stay away from resuming business just yet.
* Four more persons in Hyderabad succumbed to Covid-19 on Tuesday as Telangana reported 42 new positive cases in a single day. The state allowed shops and offices to resume business on Tuesday.
* Andhra Pradesh registered 57 Covid-19 cases on Tuesday, taking the tally to 2,489. Two people succumbed to the pandemic in Chittoor and Kurnool districts. With this the Covid-19 toll has increased to 52.
