Tamil Nadu Govt permits resumption of shooting for television serials. The move comes as a major relief for television channels, for several of which television soaps were the staple diet.

While shootings can take place only indoors, outdoor shoots can take place in rural areas. Maximum of 20 people are allowed to be present, while producers have to adhere to social distancing norms and other Covid protocol in place.
