Share market update: PSU bank shares dip; Bank of Baroda slips 4%

NEW DELHI: Shares of PSU banks were trading with losses in Tuesday's session.

Shares of Bank of Baroda (down 4.4 per cent) , Punjab National Bank (down 2.38 per cent) , Union Bank of India (down 2.12 per cent) , Bank of India (down 1.88 per cent) , Central Bank of India (down 1.77 per cent) , Indian Overseas Bank (down 1.4 per cent) , Canara Bank (down 1.29 per cent) , State Bank of India (down 1.16 per cent) , Indian Bank (down 1.11 per cent) , UCO Bank (down 0.89 per cent) , J & K Bank (down 0.8 per cent) and Bank of Maharashtra (down 0.57 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

The Nifty PSU Bank index was trading 2.14 per cent down at 1092.2 around 02:36PM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 67.15 points at 8890.4, while the BSE Sensex was up 220.38 points at 30249.36.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 34 were trading in the green, while 16 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, SBI, Tata Motors, Bharti Airtel, ICICI Bank, Adani Power, BHEL, Axis Bank, ONGC and Bank of Baroda were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
