PITTSBURGH, May 19, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- "As a basketball coach/trainer I find it difficult to assess the progress of athletes while being a part of a drill," said an inventor from Hephzibah, Georgia. "This inspired me to develop a simulated defender which could be used during practices."
He developed the SHOT CONTESTER that provides an effective training aid for basketball players that helps them improve their skills. This invention replicates the action of a defensive player attempting to block a shot and eliminates the need for coaches or other players to perform this role. Additionally, the use of this invention may improve the user's shooting accuracy, distance and control.
