Every loyal Sacred Games fan is aware that Sartaj played by Saif Ali Khan would have been incomplete without Katekar, played by Jitendra Joshi who is gearing up for the release of his next horror series titled Betaal produced Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment. The trailer of the Netflix Original series already has the fans excited for its release on May 24, a story that is based in a remote village that serves as the battleground between British Indian Army officer Betaal, his battalion of zombie redcoats, and the Indian police.

In an exclusive chat with DNA, Jitendra, a humble man that he is, opened up about the show and his experience working on it. Ask him about working with a production house as huge as Red Chillies Entertainment, Jitendra said, "The production house is like Shah Rukh Khan, loving, humble, and caring."

Further speaking about the writer, director Patrick Graham, and co-director Nikhil Mahajan. Jitendra said, "If you liked the trailer, you are sure to like the show. Everyone right from the makeup department, to the spot boys, writers, and producers gave their 100% and worked hard to bring a meaningful show forth for the audiences."

He added, "When the team, the entire team works this hard on a project, it makes the actor confident too, and bring his all to the table." Jitendra, in his quirky way also compared the sets of Betaal and the team as 'Ghar ki Maa' (mother of the house) who takes care of her children, who does her best and gives her everything which in turn helps the house turn into a home. 

He said, "It was probably the first time that I felt sad when the shooting was completed, I didn't want it to end." Jitendra, a Shah Rukh Khan fan by his admission also expressed his joy about collaborating with the superstar. 

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

 

He said, "I have followed his journey from Fauji to Darr to Kabhi Haa Kabhi Naa till 2018's Zero and I am his fan, thoroughly. I met him for a brief moment at the wrap party for Betaal and shaking hands with him was the highlight of the evening for me. I know he has a lot of fans but I refuse to share him with anyone," Jitendra quipped. Speaking with Jitendra was like talking to a friend which says a lot about the screen presence he brings to everything that he does. Tell him that talking to him certainly elevates the excitement to watch Betaal to which he jokingly adds, "Yes, but don't watch it at night."
