Representative imageGURUGRAM: A 21-year-old youth was shot inside his car while another youth sustained injuries by their acquaintance in Tajnagar village of Farukhnagar on Monday.
According to the police financial dispute was the cause of the murder. Yashpal (21), Ravinder (31) and one more persons were travelling in a Maruti Swift when the third person pulled out a gun, following an argument, and shot Yashpal in his head. “Around four shots were fired and Ravinder too was injured in the firing. The car came to a halt after hitting a divider and the accused fled from the spot,” an officer said.
“We have identified the culprit but are not revealing his identity as he is still at large. They had some personal enmity over financial issues. The accused and victim were co-accused in a murder case,” said ACP (crime) Preet Pal Sangwan. An FIR has been registered at Farukhnagar police station under Section 302 (murder) of the IPC.
In another case, Mangal Das (45), a construction worker from Bengal died after being hit with an iron road by another worker in Sector 90. After consuming liquor on Sunday night, Das had an argument with Saukat, and in a fit of rage, Saukat hit him with a rod that led to his death.
